new new new

Soo this blog will be quick because I need to go take pictures of everything that has been going on in my life, but really its been a crazy few months.
First..GRADUATION! like crazy crazy weekend and I had so much fun with my friends and family. I thought I wouldn't adjust to adult life very well but I feel pretty good. I also got a fancy new camera so I will be taking pictures of the following:

Sadly that night I got in what I thought was a pretty bad fender bender but it turned in a totaling accident. No one was hurt, except poor Besty.
The next day I was still pretty upset but I had to be adult now and go to a job interview for a great design firm in Chapel Hill, good thing I went because I got the job! I'll be working part time over the summer but hopefully full time after 90 days.

After the job interview Rob and I went to go get our key for our new appartment! It's in the brier creak area and really nice (pictures will come)

So while dealing with that it was off to Charlotte for Carol and Wilson's wedding weekend. We had our bridesmaid luncheon where we learned that we would be getting our make up done by Mary-Kay people. Which is an awesome idea instead of getting your bridesmaids another tote with their name or initial on it. After the rehersal and diner we had an after party (with the brides mom) in our hotel. It was so much fun to have that relaxing "chill" time before the big day.
The wedding day went very well and we had lots of fun dancing away. I might've had a bit too much to drink and fell down a hill, but all in all it was great fun.

The weekend after the wedding was the big moving weekend, in a thunderstorm non the less. It went pretty quickly thanks to some last minute helpers! Now we're just setleing in. The had part was the fact that I had to go buy a car the same weekend, so it was a pretty busy time. I got a 2004 Jetta, and I'm pretty much in love with it...she just needs a name, any suggestions?

All in all everything is going well, our house is getting to feel more like home every day, even though our "list" gets longer every day. It will hopefully be done in 6 months.

I was hoping to be able to take a break in summer and just work and go to the pool but Rob's sister is moving which means probably more than one trip during the next few weeks.

Something Borrowed

I am soooo Excited for everything that is coming from Emily Giffin right now.
Something Borrowed will be made into a MOVIE! It is one of my favorite books of all time, and now i'll get to see it, hopefully it will be as good as i think it will. Gennifer Goodwin and the guy from the office will be in it, which makes it TEN times better!
ALSO, on May 11th, two days AFTER I graduate and will have lots of free time, Heart Of The Matter will be released, YAYE. I don't think i've been this excited about a book in a long time, but here I am, being excited!

On another note, yesterday marked our one month mark until graduation. only about 8 more events until no more MC! Kinda sad, but I'm so excited to spend the next month with my best friends and have lots of cute pictures!

SOOO i've been wanting this dress since about December, It used to come in a combo blue and black but I was needing a nice black dress.

New Beginnings!

I have decided to post some things I'm wanting for Rob and I's apt in the summer, we have a bedroom set but we pretty much need everything else. So here is what I would want:

I love the look of the pushed in holes and even the color. It's small enough for an apt and it's eco friendly, what could be better? If only I didn't also want a puppy who is sure to ruin it....

Story Time!

Soooo sorry it has been awhile but I just have not found anything worth blogging about recently. Now I am back at school with 17 credit hours, only three of them are Interior Design so it is going to be a very different type of work load for me.
For instance I am taking Astronomy, most of you might think this is very out there for me, but I am a closet science nerd. I took astronomy in high school and loved it! So i'm taking it again, how wonderful. I'm currently taking notes on the Big Bang Theory and thought about this pivotal moment in Middle School...yes middle school.
In middle school I went to a private catholic school so i'm quite surprised that we were learning about the big bang, but I learned. I hated, HATED, my science teacher and got recess dentition about 2-3 a week because I wouldn't take his shit. (I should really start to just devote this blog to my middle school stories it might get more attention) ANYWAYS despite the fact that I was interested in this class I didn't really prepare for a test one day and we had to describe the big bang. Now I started to, but for the life of me I just could not remember, so I wrote that God made it, hoping to get some partial credit.
Well next week rolls around and we get our test back...zero credit. I go and talk to the teacher and ask why i didn't get any credit (we really did not get along) and he said it wasn't right and blah blah. I decided to push it alittle bit and say i believe it was correct. it kinda went like this:
"I just don't understand why you can't accept this"
"well, Carolyn it's not the answer I was looking for"
"This is what i believe happened"
"It's a Science class"
"It's a CATHOLIC SCHOOL!!!!"

needless to say i got the credit.
looking back I probably wasn't the best child in school...but that one teacher really was a dick.
